CASA DE CAMPO IS...
7,000
acre private resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic. It's gated, it's quiet, and it has more going on inside its walls than most Caribbean islands have total.
Your guests fly into La Romana airport, which is five minutes from the resort entrance. No two-hour shuttle from Punta Cana. No fighting traffic. They land and they're basically there.
And here's what makes a villa wedding here different from booking through the resort directly: you get the entire property to yourself. Your own cook, your own housekeeper, your own pool, your own schedule. But you still get full resort access for every guest. Golf, beach, restaurants, spa, everything. It's the privacy of a private estate with the infrastructure of a world-class resort behind it.
Three Pete Dye golf courses (including Teeth of the Dog, which consistently ranks as the best course in the Caribbean)
A full marina, an equestrian center, a shooting club, and Altos de Chavón, a replica 16th-century Mediterranean village sitting on a cliff above the Chavón River with a stone church that was actually consecrated by Pope John Paul II.
You pick the setting. We handle the permits and coordination with the resort's events team.
Casa de Campo, La Romana, Dominican Republic
Guests land at La Romana airport. Golf carts pick them up at the villa or hotel. Late afternoon, everyone gathers at the villa pool for drinks and food. No agenda. Just people meeting each other and settling in.
The group splits up. Some hit Teeth of the Dog. Some go to Minitas Beach. Kids go horseback riding at the equestrian center. That evening, rehearsal dinner at the Marina.
Beauty team arrives at the villa at 8am. Ceremony at Altos de Chavón at 4pm. Cocktail hour in the plaza while the reception space gets flipped. Dinner, dancing, cake, speeches, sparklers. Done right.
Brunch at the villa. Pool day. Some guests go deep-sea fishing or take a boat to Catalina Island. You two disappear for a couples' massage at the spa. Nobody's in a rush.
At least 8-12 months for peak season (December through April). If you're flexible on dates, 6 months can work. Popular villas and the Altos de Chavón church book up fast.
