Why People Get Married in The Amalfi Coast

CASA DE CAMPO IS...

7,000

acre private resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic. It's gated, it's quiet, and it has more going on inside its walls than most Caribbean islands have total.

Easy Arrive

Your guests fly into La Romana airport, which is five minutes from the resort entrance. No two-hour shuttle from Punta Cana. No fighting traffic. They land and they're basically there.

Full Access

And here's what makes a villa wedding here different from booking through the resort directly: you get the entire property to yourself. Your own cook, your own housekeeper, your own pool, your own schedule. But you still get full resort access for every guest. Golf, beach, restaurants, spa, everything. It's the privacy of a private estate with the infrastructure of a world-class resort behind it.

Golf

Three Pete Dye golf courses (including Teeth of the Dog, which consistently ranks as the best course in the Caribbean)

NCG Experience

Altos de Chavón

A full marina, an equestrian center, a shooting club, and Altos de Chavón, a replica 16th-century Mediterranean village sitting on a cliff above the Chavón River with a stone church that was actually consecrated by Pope John Paul II.

Ceremony and Reception Venues

You pick the setting. We handle the permits, the local comune paperwork, and every vendor.

What's Included When You Work with Us

Amalfi Coast, Italy

Your wedding planner

A coast-based planner who knows every venue, every permit office, and every vendor worth hiring. They run the timeline and the day-of coordination while you get ready at the villa.

Photography & video

Photographers who've spent years learning how light moves along these cliffs at every hour. Full-day coverage, golden hour portraits on the terraces, and engagement sessions if you come early.

Food, cake, and bar

Private chefs who cook Campanian cuisine with ingredients from the morning market. Wedding cake from local pasticcerie. Limoncello made in the village. Full bar with Italian wines you won't find outside the region.

Flowers and decor

Local florists who work with what grows here: bougainvillea, jasmine, citrus blossoms, garden roses. Ceremony arch, centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, aisle decor, table settings, lighting, welcome sign, sparkler send-off.

Beauty team

Hair, makeup, nails, lash extensions, waxing. For you and the full bridal party. They arrive at the villa morning-of so nobody's traveling on the wedding day.

Music

Live band, DJ, or both. Sound equipment set up at the villa or venue. Your playlist programmed. Italian musicians if you want that.

Stationery and extras

Save the dates, ceremony and reception invitations, thank you notes. Menswear coordination, 18kt jewelry, dress preservation after the wedding.

Logistics

Private car transfers from Naples airport, boat transfers between villages, guest accommodation across multiple villas or hotels, parking coordination, marriage license guidance, any permits needed for outdoor ceremonies.

Villas that Work for Weddings

What a Wedding Week Actually Looks Like

DAY 1

Arriving on the coast

Guests land in Naples. Private cars or a group minibus bring everyone down the coast road, or we skip the road entirely and arrange boats from Naples. That evening, welcome dinner at the villa. Long table on the terrace, local wine, the chef cooks something simple and perfect. People start to realize where they actually are.

DAY 2

The wedding

Beauty team at the villa by 8am. Late afternoon ceremony on the terrace or at a nearby venue. Golden hour photos while guests have aperitivo with Aperol spritz and local snacks. Dinner under the pergola as the sun sets. Dancing, speeches, cake, sparklers over the water.

DAY 3

The day after

Late brunch at the villa. A boat takes whoever wants to go to Capri for the afternoon, or people wander into the village for espresso and ceramics shopping. You two do whatever you want. The coast is still there.

Questions We Get a Lot

8-12 months for May through September. The best villas and the most in-demand photographers book up a year out. Winter weddings are possible with shorter lead times, and the coast is stunningly empty from November through March.
